artist statement
Wenn ich male, betrete ich einen Raum, der immer und für jeden verfügbar ist, aber in seinen eigenen Gesetzmäßigkeiten begriffen werden muss. Er kann nicht vollends mit dem Intellekt verstanden werden. Ich folge diesen Gesetzen so gut ich kann und lerne ihre Formensprache, wofür ich Aufmerksamkeit, Feingefühl und Vertrauen benötige. Ich verstehe dieses Feld als ein kollektives Feld, welches ein universelles, zeitloses Wissen in sich trägt. Es zieht mich an, mich der Essenz zu nähern, in der wir als lebendige Wesen gleich sind und die Unterschiede jedes Einzelnen nicht mehr im Vordergrund stehen, sondern die Betonung darauf liegt, was uns im Menschsein verbindet.
In uns Menschen liegt eine unerschöpfliche Power, die, wenn wir sie richtig nutzen, endloses Potenzial dafür innehält Gutes zu bewirken. Ich suche in meinen Arbeiten mich jener Kraft zu nähern und ihr Form zu geben.

When I paint, I enter a space that is always available to everyone, but which must be understood according to its own laws. It cannot be fully understood with the intellect. I follow these laws as best I can and learn their formal language, for which I need attention, sensitivity and trust. I understand this field as a collective field that carries a universal, timeless knowledge. I am drawn to approach the essence in which we are equal as living beings and the differences of each individual are no longer in the foreground, but where the emphasis lies on what connects us in being human.
There is an infinite power within us humans that, if we use it correctly, holds endless potential to do good. In my work, I try to approach this power and give it form.
